My earliest human memory that I have is when I was 2 years old.  I was living in Spain because my Dad joined the Air force and was based there in a city called Torrejon de Ardoz Madrid.   My mom and dad rented an apartment on the eleventh floor of a 12 story building.  It had 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms.  What I remember from that time is just the feeling of how empty our apartment was because we didn’t have that much furniture.  I remember the balcony and how high we were off the ground.  I remember the hallway outside our front door and our really nice neighbors.  I remember also feeling happy and comfortable.  My Dad was gone on the base a lot but I had my Mom and my sister who was only one year younger than I was.  I love my early childhood memories because I was pretty happy.  One day I want to go back to Spain and visit my old home.
